Sasol Foundation Bursary Programme: Creating a Future of Innovation

The Sasol Foundation Bursary Programme stands as a beacon of hope for South African students, aiming to cultivate innovation and equip young minds with skills for the future. This initiative primarily supports students pursuing degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields, emphasizing disciplines aligned with the Green Economy and Digitalisation. Key areas of study include Engineering, Data Sciences, Environmental Sciences, and Construction, among others. This comprehensive bursary extends beyond financial assistance, offering mentorship and developmental support to prepare students for real-world challenges. It covers tuition, accommodation, meals, books, and even provides pocket money.

Eligibility criteria ensure the program reaches the most deserving candidates. Applicants must be South African citizens, younger than 25, and come from households with a combined income of less than R600,000 per annum. Importantly, they should be enrolled or accepted for their first undergraduate degree at a South African public university or university of technology.

The bursary doesn’t just focus on academics; it aims to produce well rounded individuals who can contribute meaningfully to society. By aligning with Sasol's commitment to sustainable growth, the bursary nurtures talent that addresses South Africa's socio-economic challenges.

This program is an investment in the country’s future, empowering a new generation of leaders and innovators. Interested students are encouraged to apply and take their first steptoward a brighter future.
